Adam Drye is my 1st Cousin 4 times removed.
 
Adam is the son of  George M. Drye and  Mary ‘Polly” Sides. He married Elizabeth ‘Bettie’ Layton about 1849/1850. After Bettie Layton death in  March 1905, Adam married Mrs. Sarah Eudy on 11 September 1906. 

Adam Drye and Elizabeth ‘Bettie‘ Layton had the following children:

i. Moses Adam Dry, born 20 Oct 1850, Stanly County, North Carolina; married Diana Hall, 5 Oct 1893; died 11 Sep 1938.
ii. Green M. Dry, born 25 Apr 1853, Stanly County, North Carolina; married Laura Belvidere Meyers, 9 Sep 1886, Stanly County, North Carolina; died 10 Jan 1937, Albemarle, Stanly, North Carolina.
iii. George E. Dry, born 15 Jul 1855, Stanly County, North Carolina; married Diana Hall, 17 Oct 1886, Stanly County, North Carolina; died 18 Feb 1890.
iv. John Rufus Dry, born 6 Jul 1861, Stanly County, North Carolina; married Lucy Victoria Sides, 29 Dec 1886, Cabarrus County, North Carolina; died 26 Oct 1946.
v. Julia A. F. Dry, born 14 May 1866, Stanly County, North Carolina; married William Lee. Harris, 22 Apr 1888, Stanly County, North Carolina; died 9 Jan 1956.
