Sundays Obituary: Mary Annie Wadsworth Foil

Mary Annie Wadsworth was born on 20 Sep 1860 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina. She died on 3 Sep 1916 at the age of 55 in Mount Pleasant, Cabarrus, North Carolina. She was buried on 4 Sep 1916 in Mount Pleasant, Cabarrus, North Carolina.

Mary Annie Wadsworth and Lawson Jeremiah Foil were married on 11 May 1881. Lawson Jeremiah Foil was born on 1 Oct 1852 in Cabarrus, North Carolina. He died on 29 Oct 1920 at the age of 68 in Mount Pleasant, Cabarrus, North Carolina.

Lawson and Mary Annie are buried in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Lawson Jeremiah Foil and Mary Annie Wadsworth had the following children:

Occurred Last Evening at 8:30 at Her Home in Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. Annie Foil, wife of Mr. Lawson J. Foil, of Mount Pleasant, died at her home in that place last night at 8:30 o'clock, after an illness of about a year of stomach trouble.
 Mrs. Foil was before marriage, Miss Wadsworth, of Chesterfield County, South Carolina  and was married to Mr.  Foil, on May 11, 1881. She was in the 56th year of her age. She leaves her husband and three sons, namely Messrs. F. W., H. F. and L. E. Foil, all of Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. Foil was for many years a consistent and faithful member of the Reformed Church. The funeral service will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. C. Lyerly, assisted by Rev. J. H. Keller, of China Grove, and the interment will be made in Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Foil will be greatly missed in Mount Pleasant, where she had lived ever since her marriage, and where she was greatly beloved. She possessed many fine qualities of character and was a great worker in her church.
Among those from Concord who will attend the funeral this afternoon are Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Foil and family, Mr. John M. Cook and Mrs. R. A. Brown.

Word was received in town Monday of the death on the Sunday proceeding of Mrs. Annie Foil (nee Wadsworth) of Mt. Pleasant, NC. The deceased was the sister of Mr. J. S. Wadsworth of Ruby, and cousin of Mrs. M. J. Hough. She was a daughter of Mrs. W. W. Paterson.
