It’s Family Time~The Two Famlies of Lewis H. Wadsworth


Family Time
Lewis H. Wadsworth was born on 13 Sep 1832 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.1 2 Lewis, as a child or head of household, appears in Chesterfield County censuses from 1860 through 1900.3 4 5
Lewis died on 7 Mar 1910 at the age of 77 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.6 7 His estate (Folder #987) was probated in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.8 He left a Will in which the bulk of his estate was left to his second wife, Elizabeth Crawford Wadsworth.9

Lewis H. Wadsworth and Mary Ann Freeman were married on 28 Dec 1849 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.10 Mary Ann Freeman, daughter of Jesse Freeman and Sarah Jane Davis, was born on 2 Oct 1829 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.11 12 13 14 She died on 5 Feb 1901 at the age of 71 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.15 16

iv. Nancy A. Wadsworth, born 5 Aug 1859, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married William John Odom, abt 1882; died 8 Jan 1937, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.
v. Mary Ann Wadsworth was born on 11 Jun 1862 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina. She died on 25 Dec 1863 at the age of 1 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.
vi. Effie Wadsworth, born 15 Jan 1866, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina; married Isaac Berkley Rivers, Chesterfield County, South Carolina; died 19 Dec 1935, Cabarrus Country, North Carolina.

ix. Infant Daughter Wadsworth17 (dates unknown).
 
Lewis H. Wadsworth and Elizabeth A. Crawford were married about 1902. Elizabeth A. Crawford, daughter of David Faire Crawford and Sarah J. Adams, was born on 12 Aug 1868 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.18 19 Elizabeth and her family can be found in Chesterfield County censuses from 1910 through 1940. 20 21 22 23 24
 
Elizabeth C. Wadsworth died on 10 Jun 1949 at the age of 80 in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.25 She was buried on 11 Jun 1949 at Brocks Mill Baptist Church Cemetery in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, South Carolina.26
 
Lewis H. Wadsworth and Elizabeth A. Crawford had the following children:
