It’s Family Time ~ Jacob Kanoy and Sally Dry

It's Family Time
Research on the family of  my 3rd Great Grand Aunt has been very sparse. A marriage bond, 4 registered deeds and  several census has been the limit my current research efforts.  Sally grew up in Cabarrus County, a daughter of Johan Martin Dry and Catherine Keppell. Her parents were married in Mecklenburg County about 1785/86.

Sally Dry and Jacob Kanoy were married on 7 June 1824 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

Jacob and Sally remained in the Cabarrus County until  they moved north and west across county lines into Iredell County where they can be found in 1860 census.

They lost their only known son in the Civil War.

Jacob Canoy and Sally Dry had the following known children:
i. Catharine E. Canoy was born about 1825.
ii. Sarah L. Canoy was born about 1838.
iii. Jacob M Canoy was born about 1840. He died at Camp Pickens of typhoid fever on 8/28/1861 at Manassas in Virginia. [https://www.fold3.com/image/30651854]

If you have information on this family I would love to hear from you.

Sally Dry Canoy is my 3rd Great Grand Aunt.
