It's Family Time
Isaac William Crayton was born on 12 Mar 1809 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. He was a son of William Crayton and Frances Reed.  Frances or Fanny Reed Crayton was the daughter of John Reed of the Reed Gold Mine, a state historical site located in  Cabarrus County, North Carolina. The 1799 site of the Reed Gold Mine is the first authenticated discovery of Gold in the United States. Isaac listed his occupation as both a farmer and a miner. 

Isaac married Nancy S. Page, daughter of Uriah and Gracey Page on 7 May 1826 according to the Crayton Family Bible. 

Isaac William Crayton and Nancy S. Page had the following children:
 
i. William C. "Mims" Crayton, born 20 Feb 1827, Montgomery County, North Carolina; married Caroline Huneycutt; died 24 Jun 1862, Richmond City, Virginia.
ii. Sarah Jane Charlotte "Sallie" Crayton, born 16 Dec 1829, Montgomery County, North Carolina; married Alexander Huneycutt, 8 Feb 1849, Stanly County, North Carolina; married John Rosencrans, 2 Jan 1870, Stanly County, North Carolina; died 13 Dec 1899, Stanly County, North Carolina.
iii. Conrad Michael "Coon" Crayton, born 30 Oct 1831, Cabarrus County, North Carolina; married Annie Louise Smith, abt 1852; married Eliza Burris, 25 Aug 1898, Albemarle, Stanly, North Carolina; married Martha Jane Starnes; died 15 Feb 1918.
iv. John Allen Crayton Sr., born 2 May 1833, Montgomery County, North Carolina; married Martha Jane Starnes; died 3 May 1863, Chancellorsville, Virginia.
v. Mary Frances "Fanny" Crayton, born 8 Jan 1835, Montgomery County, North Carolina; married John Henry McCarn; died 17 May 1903, Belmont, Gaston, North Carolina.
vi. Uriah Sampson Crayton, born 26 Jul 1839, Cabarrus, North Carolina; married Hanna Elizabeth Reeves; died 10 May 1915, Columbia, Richland, South Carolina.
vii. Merriam Crayton was born on 6 Oct 1841 in Stanly County, North Carolina. She died on 19 May 1843 at the age of 1 in Stanly County, North Carolina.
viii. Nancy Crayton was born on 22 Apr 1843 in Stanly County, North Carolina. She died on 22 Sep 1878 at the age of 35 in Stanly County, North Carolina.
ix. Benjamin Crayton was born on abt 1854; no further information found. 
 
Nancy S. Page Crayton wife of Isaac William Crayton is my 3rd Great Grand Aunt.
