When Frances M Sullivant, widow of Jesse Wallace, passed away in February 1880 her estate was settled and the children of deceased daughter Delilah M. Wallace, wife of Elisha Brown Smith, was allocated Lot #5 of the estate. (Anson County, NC Deed Book 28, Page 35-40)

The children jointly owned this estate land (32 acres) until May 1893 at which time all the surviving children sold their interest in the land to their brother Jesse C. Smith.
Thus, we have the Land deed posted above.

  1. Charlie, I'm glad you explained that document. I found it confusing till I read your note. I have a long list of Smith family members. Do you know the parents of these children?

    1. Thanks, Charlie. It must either be a family I am not related to or that I have not connected up as yet.
